"Making Memories" Event Wish Mia (Norfolk, VA)

Little Mia is 2 years old, and the youngest of two children. On January 9th 2019, Mia and her family received the devasting news that no family can possibly prepare for. Mia was diagnosed with DIPG, the same aggressive brain tumor that claimed our beloved Moriah’s life!

For those that are not familiar with DIPG there are approximately ONLY 150-200 people diagnosed with this tumor a year. Due to the nature of this tumor, which is located on the brain stem, treatment options are limited, and the average survival is 8 months to 1 year.

When the Forever Moriah Foundation came across Mia’s story, we knew we wanted to do something special for her and her family! Mia is currently undergoing 30 sessions of radiation treatment where she is being put to sleep daily what a paw-rific time Mia, her family and friends had celebrating her On Saturday March 9th.

Her #Hope4Mia Paw Patrol themed celebration was absolutely amazing. Mia and her friends enjoyed dancing the evening away, adopting pups, and getting amazing glitter tattoos applied

5 Fun Facts About Mia

Just the sight of an animal will make her crack a smile. 4. Little Mia is 2 years old, and the youngest of two children. 5. According to mom, one of her many nicknames is “Mood Judy” as she is her strong-willed child for sure! We can only guess who runs their house.
