Donate for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Did you know that the average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is 6? Did you know that cancer is diagnosed each year in about 175,000 children ages 14 and under worldwide? Or, did you know that one in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive?
Here at the Forever Moriah Foundation, we take these statistics very seriously. Our goal is to provide hope and encouragement to families suffering from childhood cancer, and one of the ways we do this is through celebration. We don’t just throw a child any ordinary party, we throw the most extravagant party he or she could dream of. From balloon walls to Disney characters to party favors, we try our best to bring the brightest smiles to our special kiddos and their families.
“It means a lot for our family to have a party thrown for Donald. It serves as a source of excitement for us since we are celebrating life. He has been through so much this year and to have time to just celebrate what he’s been through I feel would give him encouragement to move forward.”
-Nickell, Donald’s mom
“It means so much to us to be able to celebrate life. Rocco is especially thrilled to celebrate and have his friend Donald there. It brings us hope to have many more days to celebrate ahead.”
-Gabriella, Rocco’s mom
If you haven’t already, check out Donald and Rocco’s story here! With September being childhood cancer awareness month, we are trying to raise $12,000 to go towards Childhood Cancer Research. This year, our sweet Moriah would’ve turned 12 years old, so we want to honor her through our donation as well. If you are able to donate, please click here. Also, please pass this along to your friends and family to get the word out!
